Sierra de Almagrera promotes the creation of the Levante de Almeria DO

AgroecoPark, a company dedicated to the cultivation and production of organic food and beverages, has just inaugurated its latest project: Bodega Sierra Almagrera. A small winery with a capacity for 15,000 litres of high quality wines located in Burjulú, Cuevas del Almanzora (Almería).

The winery values its location, the same land where the first vines brought by the Phoenicians to the Iberian Peninsula took root more than 3,000 years ago. For this reason, they are working with local producers and authorities to set up the DO Levante de Almería.

Among the wines produced by this winery is 'Caballo Blanco', made from Tempranillo, Syrah, Garnacha and Monastrell grapes. It is aged for 23 months in French oak barrels and two years in bottle. Also, 'Sierra de Almagrera 2015',a wine aged for 12 months in French oak barrels of medium intense toast, is bottled and left to rest for another year.

Agroecopark markets 'Vera Green' creams and 'Green Frog' 100% organic aloe vera drinks.
