Spanish winery with roots
Bodega Sierra Almagrera is the result of more than two decades of passion, vision, and hard work to create wines capable of reflecting the deep identity of the Almerian Levant. From our vineyards in Burjulú, in the municipality of Cuevas del Almanzora (Almería), we craft wines born from an extreme land, a millenary tradition, and a way of understanding wine as culture, not just as a product.
OUR HISTORY
The story begins nearly half a century ago in a small garage in Melbourne, where its founder, José Miguel García, shaped his first wines alongside his family and his mentor. That artisanal and exploratory spirit would eventually lead him in 2003 to the Almerian Levant, where he discovered an extreme land, yet one full of potential.
After years of work, studying the terroir, and preparing the soil, Bodega Sierra Almagrera was born—a unique project inspired by the culture, history, and character of Almería.
