Bodega Sierra Almagrera’s vineyards extend across three unique enclaves in eastern Almería: Antas, Burjulú and Laujar. Three distinct territories, united by the same philosophy: to respect the land and allow each grape to express the character of its terroir. This diversity is the foundation of our wines.
An extreme terroir that creates

The climate in eastern Almería is demanding: many hours of sunshine, high temperatures and sharp temperature contrasts. However, cool Mediterranean breezes and the influence of the Sierra de Almagrera balance this environment, producing grapes with great concentration, natural freshness and extraordinary acidity.
Vineyards across three unique territories

Above 1,200 metres, in the Laujar Valley, the vines grow under extreme conditions. Cold nights and altitude slow ripening, encouraging intense aromas, vibrant acidity and excellent ageing potential in the wines.

At 400 metres above sea level, the Antas vineyards sit on land that was once the heart of the Argaric culture. This soil, rich in history and minerality, produces grapes with depth, structure and a pronounced Mediterranean character.

Located in Cuevas del Almanzora, the Burjulú vineyards grow just a few metres from the sea. The marine influence brings freshness, salinity and a vibrant aromatic expression to the grapes, resulting in elegant, lively wines.

Our winery in Burjulú, located in Cuevas del Almanzora, is one of the pillars of Bodega Sierra Almagrera. From this winery, located next to our vineyards closest to the sea, part of the production is monitored and vinified, bringing freshness, minerality and a pronounced Mediterranean influence to our wines.
Proximity to the Mediterranean, combined with the area’s mineral soils, makes it possible to obtain grapes with a unique expression, bringing elegance, salinity and balance to Sierra Almagrera’s different wines.

SINGLE-PARCEL HARVESTING AND HAND SELECTION
Each vineyard is harvested independently, respecting the optimal ripeness point of each parcel. The grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected to ensure that only the finest fruit reaches the winery.
